Job Title:
Associate Actionscript 3.0 Developer
Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting with ongoing Actionscript 3.0 development across a range of applications and platforms. The Associate Actionscript 3.0 Developer will be assigned work on new and existing applications including new features and bug fixes and will be expected to complete high quality code in a timely manner. Associate Actionscript 3.0 developers have a history of Actionscript and Flash development, good knowledge of the Flex Framework, an understanding of Design Patterns and are comfortable creating custom components. Furthermore, they are able to learn quickly and are willing to be mentored.
Responsibilities:
• Write quality code in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Lead Developer to ensure smooth code integration.
• Ensure code is consistently version controlled.
• Design efficient custom components where necessary that work with the specified Design Pattern.
• Take ownership of the code you write.
• Work with Lead Developer and Designers to ensure an exceptional user experience.
Experience Guidelines:
• At least 2 years experience with Adobe Flex Builder including 3.0 – 3.5 Frameworks, including at least 2 years of Actionscript 3.0 experience and understanding of
• Complex custom Actionscript only components.
• Custom events.
• OOP theory and design patterns, including MVC.
• CSS (including custom CSS), skinning and Actionscript drawing tools.
• Exploring, overriding and re-defining the Open Source Flex Framework.
• Web Services.
• Multimedia inputs including Camera and Microphone use.
• Actionscript metadata.
• Custom namespaces.
• MXML.
• XML.
• Experience with the Adobe AIR platform a must, including
• In depth knowledge of AIR application XML.
• Knowledge of AIR only Actionscript classes, methods and properties including File I/O.
• Experience deploying AIR applications over the web, including browser install and browser invocation.
• Knowledge of subversion and ideally subclipse.
• Quick learner.
• Ability to work with multiple developers on the same projects.
• Ability to bend the Flex Framework to your will.
• Bonus:
• Experience with Wowza Media Server.
• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Flash, Flex and Actionscript 2 and 3 totaling at least 4 years.
• Experience with Flash Builder 4 and the Flex 4 Framework.
• Experience installing and using additional Eclipse plugins.
Education:
Bachelors degree required
